Sunset from I-80
Wyoming

Spent 6 hours at EarthRoamer dealing with the furnace. The crew was terrific--fixed us right up, and sent us on our way. Couldn't ask for better service!!! (Special thanks to Mike!)
Dacono, Colorado

Look where we're spending the night...Walmart parking lot. They allow RVs and trucks to park overnight. And...they're open 24 hours a day!!! A little midnight shopping, perhaps?
Rock Springs, Wyoming

Spent the day on the road after our detour to Dacono. Tomorrow we head to Ontario, Oregon by way of Twin Falls, Idaho. Then on to Central Point, Oregon.

My creation, as promised. Under Laurie's expert tutelage, I made the silver beads from scratch. It took me a good part of the day!
Thank you, Laurie, for all your help and for letting me play with all of your cool materials and tools!!!

We were supposed to be heading for Central Point, Oregon today but had to make a detour back to EarthRoamer in Dacono, Colorado. Our furnace is not functioning properly and we really can't take any chances in winter weather. Hopefully, it will be a quick repair and we will be on our way late tomorrow morning.

Details from Laurie Wren Lujan's jewelry studio

Laurie's studio
Cody, Wyoming

Laurie Wren Lujan, jewelry maker extraordinaire!!!

The hands of an artist

I spent the day in Laurie's studio watching her work. Her creations are without equal!!! She was patient enough to try and teach me how to make a necklace. I have an incredible appreciation for what she does and I don't think I'll be quitting my day job any time soon! Stay tuned and I shall reveal my handiwork tomorrow. I met Laurie and her husband Harold at an art fair in Edina, Minnesota years ago. I've never really been much of a jewelry person but I fell in love with their jewelry. I prize the unique pieces I have collected over the years--they are true works of art!!!

We are back on the road tomorrow, headed for Central Point, Oregon.
