Finders, keepers...
The bride abandoned her sparkly, silver stilettos.

We were invited to our first Hawaiian wedding. One of the groomsmen was full of advice for the groom which he shouted out in the middle of the ceremony--"Don't do it, Joe...there's still time!" A good laugh was had by all.

It was indeed a joyous day and a wonderful celebration.

Eucalyptus forest
Molokai Forest Reserve

We spent the day with Molokai friend and fellow photographer, Rikki Cooke, in the Molokai Forest Reserve. Molokai had been described as an island with a "split personality"--one is arid and the other is verdant. Today we were in the interior and we experienced a little bit of everything--sun, mist, pelting rain, howling gales, rainbows, lush green forests and a breath-taking view from Kamakou Overlook.

The dirt road was challenging. We didn't get stuck but we came real close!!! I think the Roamer could have made it to the overlook.
