 Rudy had a little outing today. First stop---the dentist.

 Next stop---Wegman's grocery store. We only need 2 parking spaces!

Size does matter!

As usual, Rudy attracted a lot of attention wherever we went today. Our dentist, Dr. Messina, came out for a quick tour as well as a woman who worked in a furniture store nearby. She had seen one on a program on TV about extreme RVs. They were both blown away!!! At the grocery store a woman noticed the Montana license plates and struck up a conversation. Turns out she was from...Montana. There's a lot of rubbernecking going on as we drive around the DC area. People take pictures of Rudy as they're driving by. They're so distracted we've almost been side-swiped a number of times! Driving in an urban area can be as challenging as being off-road. A lot of the streets in Virginia are extremely narrow and the traffic is beyond belief. That said, the Roamer is incredibly nimble and easy to maneuver. You don't feel like you're driving something that weighs 18,000 pounds!

Missing Molokai...

No roamin' for Rudy today. We're still camped out at my sister's working on DAM, DAM and more DAM (digital asset management).

Happy birthday to my mom today. She's 88 years young and still going strong!!!

No roamin' today. Rudy is causing quite a stir in the neighborhood, however. One neighbor's curiosity finally got the better of him and he stopped and asked for a tour. Turns out he's a specialist in recovery training for the military and he's offered to work with us on our recovery skills (using winches, etc.). It's probably not a matter of IF we get stuck, but a matter of WHEN. I think we're going to take him up on it!

We're boondocking in my sister's driveway in Great Falls, Virginia for a few days while we catch up on sleep and make the transition back to reality--bills, laundry, digital asset management, etc. Re-entry from Molokai is bittersweet--we're so happy to be back with Rudy but we're so missing the magic of Molokai. Looking forward to the day when we take Rudy to the "Most Hawaiian Island."
